Information from the operational headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan  Republic and the Press Service of the General Prosecutor's Office

In recent days, a voice message has been shared on social media and mass media outlets by people who are maliciously interested in causing widespread concern in society, stating that a person infected with the so-called "COVID-19" virus—or coronavirus—died at the City Clinical Hospital No.3 (Sabunchu Hospital).
At the same time, there is deliberate dissemination of false information about this problem, as well as misleading photos and news headlines from the mass media, creating an artificial concern.

Such misleading information is refuted because it is not true. Thus, Nazakat Ramazanova, born in 1994, died of pneumonia at the City Clinical Hospital No. 3 on February 29. Representatives of the police and the prosecutor's office examined the scene and the corpse with the participation of a forensic expert. To establish the cause of N. Ramazanova's death, a forensic medical examination was appointed, and the corpse underwent external and internal examination. No infectious disease was found in the samples taken from the deceased. The Prosecutor's Office of Sabunchu District is investigating the fact.

The most serious measures will be taken against the media, including social network users, who deliberately disseminate misleading information to society.
