Azerbaijan continues measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus across the country. The mobile hospitals with tents allocated by the Ministry of Emergency Situation are being set up for the initial examination of persons entering Azerbaijani territory from checkpoints on the border with Islamic Republic of Iran according to the order issued by Task Force established under the Cabinet of Ministers.

People who pass initial checkups and test negative for the disease will be able to proceed further without any obstacle. Individuals who show symptoms of the disease will be sent to hospitals under supervision of doctors. The sanitary and epidemiological situation in Azerbaijan is under strict control.  The public will be regularly informed about work carried out in this regard.

The Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers consisting of the senior officials of relevant state bodies and institutions has been established to prevent the threats that the coronavirus disease might cause in the territory of Azerbaijan, to take preventive and immediate measures. Expert groups consisting of relevant sectoral specialists have been created to take preventive measures and carry out monitoring throughout the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Hotline numbers (994 12 492 41 61, +994 12 492 75 54, +994 12 505 03 30, + 994 12 505 13 33 ) of the Operational Headquarters will operate starting from February 28, 2020, 10:00 in order to  inform the public and prevent the spread of  unsubstantiated information.

“Action Plan to prevent the proliferation of novel coronavirus disease in the Republic of Azerbaijan” has been approved by the order of the Cabinet of Ministers on January 30, 2020. The measures planned in the Action Plan are being implemented.

Due the expansion of the geography of mentioned decease across the world the Cabinet of Ministers approved the comprehensive Plan of Measures. Sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country is strictly kept under control and the public is constantly being informed about the work carried out in this direction.
