Preventive measures continue to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Azerbaijan. The relevant educational and medical measures are being carried out in this regard, disinfection of public places is conducted, and other necessary steps are taken in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization.
If persons crossing into Azerbaijan and citizens who are in the country show symptoms of disease they are quarantined at relevant hospital in line with instructions. During that period, they undergo certain medical tests and treatment. Unfortunately, people with symptoms of coronavirus sometimes resort to violence against medical personnel and try to evade medical supervision by resisting to emergency teams arriving on a call.

We would like to note that monitoring of persons who have shown symptoms of coronavirus is important in terms of necessity of treatment and prevention infecting their loved ones and people around them. This will keep them and their families healthy and prevent the spread of the virus throughout the country.

In relation to everyone who violates the quarantine regime and impedes the normal operation of medical staff, appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with the requirements of the law.

We also advise our citizens to follow the hygiene guidance on protection against infection, to avoid crowded places, not travel abroad unless strictly necessary.
