29,600,000 manats in temporary allowances and bonuses have been paid to staff involved in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic over 3 months of the current year

In accordance with the relevant Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the relevant resolutions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) has paid temporary allowances to the staff involved in the fight against the novel coronavirus infection. Medical workers were paid temporary allowances in the amount of 26,400,000 manats and non-medical workers were paid temporary allowances in the amount of 3,200,000 manats in proportion to their working hours.

Temporary allowances in the amount of 23,000 manats were paid to the medical staff of private medical facilities involved in the fight against the novel coronavirus infection in February and April of the current year in proportion to their working hours. All salary deductions payable by the employee will be calculated based on the final amount.

A total of 26,500 manats in bonuses were paid to volunteers, at a monthly figure of 250 manats per person. Salary deductions from this amount are not taken.

The amount of temporary allowances and bonuses paid to medical and non-medical staff, as well as volunteers for the above-mentioned months is as follows:

In accordance with the lists provided by public medical facilities, payment of temporary allowances by the Agency for May is continuing.

It should be noted that, according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 198 dated July 9, 2021, the payment of temporary allowances to the salaries of medical workers involved in the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection has been extended until August 1, 2021.
