70% of citizens are satisfied with mandatory health insurance

The State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) conducted a survey studying the population’s level of satisfaction with medical services provided under mandatory health insurance. The survey was conducted on the social media account of the Agency over the course of a month.

A total of 304 people participated in the online survey – 53% men and 47% women. Of the participants, 49% were aged between 25 and 34.

Respondents were asked whether they use medical services within the scope of mandatory health insurance, with 72% stating that they benefit from mandatory health insurance.

Of the respondents, 56% said that they received services in state medical facilities subordinated to the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB) and scientific research institutes under the Ministry of Health. In addition to the aforementioned medical facilities, 44% of the respondents received medical services in private medical facilities contracted by the Agency.

The satisfaction level of those who benefit from medical services under the Benefit Package of mandatory health insurance was 70%.

In addition to the population’s satisfaction level with mandatory health insurance, the online survey also assessed their level of awareness. A large-scale awareness-raising campaign conducted by the Agency increased the level of awareness of the population on mandatory health insurance. Of the respondents, 96% said that they were aware of mandatory health insurance.
