A campaign was held to provide psychiatric and psychological support to the participants of the Patriotic War

The State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance, the Public Union “Regional Development” (RDPU) and the Association “Support of Azerbaijani Doctors for Education” jointly organized an examination campaign at the Medical Rehabilitation Hospital in the Mardakan settlement on July 19 to provide psychiatric and psychological support to the participants of the Patriotic War.

During this campaign 4 Azerbaijani psychiatrists working in Turkey, and currently visiting our country, examined veterans of the Patriotic War for mental disorders frequently observed among veterans.  Mainly post-traumatic stress disorders, depression, panic, palpitations, certain phobias and psychological disorders accompanied by hallucinations were identified during the examinations. Appropriate treatment was prescribed, and necessary advice was provided.

It should be noted that the campaign will also be held on July 20 and will last for 2 days, during which more than 100 veterans will be examined.

The Agency will continue to take important measures in accordance with the policy of ensuring recovery and treatment of veterans Injured for the protection of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as for members of the families of martyrs.
