Agency proposed soft mortgage loans for medical workers

The State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance has prepared a proposal to add medical professionals working in state healthcare entities to the list of persons who are entitled to preferential mortgage loans and social housing.

The proposed changes to the “Rules of granting a mortgage loan and preferential mortgage loan at the expense of the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan” aimed to meet housing needs of medical workers and improve their living conditions.

The Chairman of the Executive Board of the Agency Zaur Aliyev said that according to the proposal a minimum of three years of employment in medical occupation at state healthcare entities is required to be eligible for preferential mortgage loan as a member of a young family.

Moreover, to be eligible for preferential mortgage loan, the requirement to engage in medical profession in state healthcare entities for at least 15 years has been put forward in proposal for medical workers who are not members of young family.

The proposal has already been submitted to the relevant state bodies and institutions. Doctors, middle and junior medical staff (excluding for the directors of healthcare entities) employed at healthcare entities attached to state bodies (institutions) will get an opportunity to benefit from preferential mortgage loans once the document is approved.
