Azerbaijan sent humanitarian aid for Ukrainian refuges

Azerbaijan sent humanitarian aid to meet the needs of Ukrainian refuges who are settled in the territory of the Republic of Moldova because of the crisis in Ukraine. The aid consisted of medicines to provide urgent, and emergency medical assistance was sent to Moldova today.

The plane departed Heydar Aliyev International Airport at 10:00 AM on April 15 with participation of members of diplomatic missions of Moldova and Ukraine in Azerbaijan. The goods weighting 29 tons and worth more than 1.7 million manats in total are scheduled to arrive in Chisinau airport.

It should be noted that pursuant to the order of the head of the country, humanitarian relief worth 21.5 million manats (more than 11.5 million euros) and weighting approximately 520 tons in total was sent from Azerbaijan to Ukraine on February 27 and March 12. It consisted of medications, medical disposable products, medical devices, and equipment, as well as food products.
