AZN 169,400,000 was paid as temporary allowances and wage bonuses to persons involved in the fight against coronavirus pandemic last year

In accordance with the relevant decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the relevant orders and resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) paid temporary allowances of AZN 145,800,000 to medical workers and AZN 23,000,000 to non-medical workers involved in the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection based on working hours during March to December of 2020.

A temporary allowance of AZN 385,000 was paid to medical workers of private medical facilities involved in the fight against novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection based on working hours from April to December of last year. Volunteers were paid a total of AZN 138,500 as a wage bonus, a monthly amount of AZN 250 per person.

The amount of monthly temporary allowances and wage bonuses paid to medical and non-medical workers and volunteers was as follows:

It should be noted that, according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 2, dated January 8, 2021, the payment of temporary allowances to the salaries of medical workers involved in the fight against novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection has been extended until March 31, 2021.
