Clergymen will participate in raising the public awareness of mandatory health insurance

With the joint organization of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance and the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, as well as the support of relevant local executive authorities, events raising awareness of mandatory health insurance were held for religious community members and clergymen.

The aim of such events is to engage clergymen in the process of informing the wider population about the new reform of the health care system, the introduction of mandatory health insurance, and the right of the insured to use medical services.

In total, more than 100 people participated in the events. The trainees were clerics – akhunds, imams, and members of religious communities from the Sabunchu, Khazar, Pirallahi, Nasimi, Binagadi, Garadag, Sabail, Yasamal, and Narimanov districts.

In the opening speech, Amal Malikov and Nuru Imanov, representatives of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, spoke about the benefits of the mandatory health insurance system for the population. Members of the religious community called upon the population to be aware of the advantages of the system and to closely participate in educating the population in this area.

Aynura Ahmadova, head of the Agency's Marketing and Public Relations Department, provided the participants with detailed information about the mandatory health insurance system, mandatory health insurance fees, and medical services covered by the Benefit Package.

In addition, the participants exchanged views on the mandatory health insurance system and discussed ways to educate the population. During the meetings, the question of placing educational print materials on mandatory health insurance in mosques was also discussed in order to increase the population’s awareness. The training ended with a question-and-answer session.

During the meetings, the requests of the trainees regarding the introduction of mandatory health insurance were examined, and appropriate measures were taken to settle them.

It should be noted that the next trainings will be held in the Surakhani, Khatai, and Nizami districts.
