During January of 2022 more than 1 million medical services were provided for the population of 58 cities and regions

According to the preliminary reports submitted to the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) by healthcare facilities where mandatory health insurance has been introduced, in January of the current year, 1488464 medical services were provided to 421134 citizens in 58 cities and regions.

During this period, healthcare facilities received 655 626 requests for medical services. According to these requests, 1295394 medical services were provided on an outpatient basis and 193070 services - on an inpatient basis.

We hereby present some statistics on the medical services provided to the population of the following administrative divisions during January of 2022:

The top ten cities and districts according to the number of requests per 1000 people made to healthcare facilities. Mingachevir (442), Ganja (249), Balakan (220), Shirvan (205), Yevlakh (203), Beylagan (193), Gabala (169), Goychay (160), Qakh (158), Goygol (154).

Most doctor’s visit made to medical facilities in 58 district and cities last month were related to medical examinations (including examinations of conscripts), respiratory system diseases, circulatory systems diseases, endocrine system diseases, metabolic and nutritional disorders, urogenital issues, digestive problems, musculoskeletal system diseases, diseases of the connective tissue, obstetrics and gynecology, diseases of the eye and auxiliary apparatus and certain symptoms.

The top ten health facilities providing the most services were: Ganja United City Hospital (161 586), Mingachevir City Central Hospital (120 219), Yevlakh (70 147), Gabala (53 434), Khachmaz (52 792), Guba (51 908), Barda (49 850), Goychay (46 397), Beylagan (40 576) and Aghdash (40 459) district central hospitals.

The top ten health facilities providing the most outpatient services were: Ganja United City Hospital, Mingachevir City Central Hospital, Yevlakh, Gabala, Khachmaz, Barda, Guba, Goychay, Beylagan and Zagatala district central hospitals.

The top ten health facilities providing the most inpatient services were: Ganja United City Hospital, Mingachevir City Central Hospital, district central hospitals of Guba, Khachmaz, Lankaran, Barda, Sheki, Shirvan City Central Hospital, as well as central hospitals of Aghdash and Aghjabadi districts.

During month of January, 2584895 medical services were delivered to 681604 people based on 1166659 requests across the country.

2101326 medical services were provided on an outpatient basis per these requests and 483569 services were provided on an inpatient basis. 1861124 of these services (72%) were provided to adults and 723771 services (28%) were provided to children.

According to the official information as of 01.01.2020, the population registered in the 58 administrative regional divisions is estimated at 6,600,100.
