Events regarding mandatory health insurance were held in Aghash

On 14 March 2018 the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance held meetings with Aghash residents at Heydar Aliyev Centre and Habil Aliyev Music School regarding implementation of mandatory health insurance in the district.

In her opening speech Deputy Governor of Agdash Ms Aynur Novruzova noted that there is a President’s Decree setting out all mechanisms to ensure accessibility of medical services for each resident and expedite implementation of mandatory health insurance.

Mr Sadig Madatov and Mr Tural Gulu of the Agency made presentations about importance and advantages of mandatory health insurance. They talked about the implementation-related achievements so far and emphasised that introducing universal, and sustainable health insurance in Azerbaijan was a main priority for the Agency.

The presenters also informed the participants about 1829 medical services provided within the benefit package (480 outpatient services, 677 inpatient services, 6 emergency, 18 primary healthcare, 23 physiotherapy, 459 laboratory and 166 expensive surgeries) during the pilot scheme.

After the presentations, question and answer session was held for the participants.

During the events leaflets were distributed and posters were put up.

The Agency, in cooperation with Agdash Governor’s Office, is planning to hold more events in the district in April and March to raise public awareness.
