In April, more than three million medical services were provided under mandatory health insurance

The State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance presents the statistics on medical services provided to citizens in health facilities attached to TABIB under mandatory health insurance in April of 2022.

In that month, 849,726 people applied to state medical facilities 1,571,809 times. The number of medical services provided to citizens was 3,448,090. Of the medical services, 84% were provided in outpatient settings and 16% in inpatient settings. Of the patients, 30% were children and 70% were adults.

Patients' requests were mainly related to general medical examination, diseases of the endocrine, circulatory, respiratory, bone, and muscle systems and of connective tissue, as well as diseases of the digestive and genitourinary systems, the eye and auxiliary apparatus, and the nervous system, as well as problems of obstetrics and gynecology.

Medical statistics for the city of Baku

In April of this year, 329,213 people applied 644,555 times to state medical facilities in Baku. This accounts for 41% of the total number of applications recorded across the country. The number of medical services provided to citizens was 1,364,139, which accounts for 40% of the total number of medical services.

The top ten health facilities that provided the most services were Baku General Health Center, Narimanov Medical Center, Clinical Medical Center, Republican Clinical Hospital named after academician M.A.Mirgasimov, Sabunchu Medical Center, Scientific Research Pediatric Institute named after K.Y.Farajova, Khazar Medical Center, Binagadi Medical Center, Scientific-Research Institute of Cardiology named after academician J.M.Abdullayev, and Scientific Surgery Center named after academician M.A. Topchubashov.

Medical statistics for 63 cities and districts

In April of this year, 537,152 people applied 927,254 times to state health facilities in 63 cities and districts, excluding Baku. This is 59% of the total number of applications recorded across the country. The number of medical services provided to citizens was 2,083,951, accounting for 60% of the total number of medical services.

The top ten health facilities that provided the most services were Sumgayit Medical Center, Ganja City United Hospital, Mingachevir City Central Hospital, and regional central hospitals of the Barda, Khachmaz, Yevlakh, Absheron, Guba, Balaken, and Sheki districts.
