Last year, mandatory health insurance services were provided to 433 citizens at the single coordination centers

During 2022, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) provided services to 433 war veterans and family members of martyrs at the single coordination centers operating in the country. According to the applications, citizens were provided a total of 617 services. Of these services, 550 were related to healthcare services, 46 were related to providing information on immunoprophylaxis, and 21 were related to receiving information from the electronic register of medical records.

The Agency, which is one of 53 institutions represented in the single coordination centers, provided services to citizens on three profiles. It should be noted that citizens were also informed about mandatory health insurance, and they were provided with necessary assistance regarding the use of medical services under the Benefit Package.and obtaining disability status.

The first profile covers the reception of applications for health care services in medical facilities supervised by the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABİB). When a citizen makes a request, the relevant medical facility is contacted, the request is addressed to the appropriate doctor, and, if any problem arises, relevant measures are taken to resolve the issue or the citizen is referred to such health facility.

The second profile is related to answering questions about COVID-19 infection and vaccination, as well as providing information about the national vaccination schedule.

The last profile refers to receiving information from the electronic register of medical records. If a citizen is not satisfied with the result of the medical examination included in the "Disability" subsystem by the State Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population (Ministry), he/she may contact the relevant employee of the Agency at the single coordination centers (but only in cases where the reason for rejection is incomplete documents, insufficient treatment, or general issues related to the health facility). The citizen's inquiry is forwarded to the Agency, DOST Agency, or relevant medical facility, the cause of the problem is examined, and appropriate measures are taken.

It should be noted that the single coordination centers started functioning on August 23, 2021, in the centers of the Sustainable and Operative Social Security Agency under the Ministry. According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 25, 2021, the purpose of establishing single coordination centers is to ensure the immediate and operative provision of services by public institutions from a single point to family members of martyrs, injured war veterans, and persons with disabilities.
