Medical staff of private health facilities and volunteers involved in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic have been paid temporary allowances and bonuses in the amount of 83,000 manat

In accordance with the Resolution No. 112 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 25, 2020 and the Order dated April 1, 2020, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) paid a temporary allowance to 22 medical workers employed in private health facilities, as well as bonuses to 161 volunteers involved in the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the months of August and September in proportion to their working hours.

In accordance with the relevant order of the Cabinet of Ministers, the amount of the temporary allowance to the salaries of employees of private medical facilities involved in the fight against COVID-19 infection was set at 3, 4 and 5 times the monthly salary. According to the order, 9 medical workers employed in private medical facilities were paid a temporary allowance in the amount of 19,000 manat in proportion to working time/hours in August, and 13 medical workers were paid a temporary allowance in the amount of 24,000 manat in proportion to working time/hours in September. It should be noted that all deductions from the salary payable by the employee are calculated from the final amount.

According to the order, 66 volunteers were paid a total of 16,500 thousand manat in August, and 95 volunteers were paid a total of 23,500 thousand manat in September, with the monthly amount being 250 manat. Salary deductions from this amount are not calculated.
