Nearly 2 million manats in temporary allowances have been paid for the months of May to December of last year to the persons involved in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic

In accordance with the relevant order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the relevant decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) paid temporary allowances in the amount of about 1.7 million manats to medical workers and 233,000 manats to non-medical staff involved in the fight against the new type of coronavirus infection in proportion to their working time/hours during the months of May to December of 2022.

The amounts of temporary allowances paid to medical and non-medical staff for the mentioned months are as follows:

It should be noted that, according to the lists provided by public medical facilities, the Agency continues to pay temporary allowances for December.

According to Decision No. 19 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated January 24, 2023, the payment of temporary allowances on the salaries of medical workers involved in the fight against the new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection has been extended until March 1, 2023.
