Nigar Bayramova represented Azerbaijan at the WHO Barcelona Forum on Financial Protection in Europe

The World Health Organization (WHO) Barcelona Office on Health Systems Financing organized a two-day expert meeting on financial protection and affordable access to health care to raise awareness on trends in Europe, set the agenda for change, and promote policy development.

Attendees of the meeting shared the results of the draft report on financial protection in 40 countries that are members of the WHO European region. Based on evidence, analysis, and best practice, the report identified issues and reasons for change in public health care coverage. Over two days, participants shared their experiences, explaining how they have made progress at the national level.

Representatives of local health facilities and financial protection experts participated in the WHO Barcelona Forum on Financial Protection in Europe. Azerbaijan was represented at the forum by Nigar Bayramova, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Agency, and by Tural Gulu, an employee of the WHO Azerbaijan representative office.
