State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance signed Memorandum of Understanding with Public Health and Reforms Centre of the Ministry of Health

A signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on mutual cooperation between the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) and Public Health and Reforms Centre of the Ministry of Health held on 15 July 2019.

The Memorandum was signed by Zaur Aliyev, the chairman of the Executive Board of the Agency and Gahraman Hagverdiev, the director of PHRC.

The chairman of the Executive Board of Agency said that the memorandum defines the scope of cooperation between two institutions: “It is planned to exchange experience and information between Agency and PHRC, to identify potential areas for future cooperation, to organize joint events or other specific activities in order to achieve the successful outcome in the areas implied in Memorandum.

The director of PHRC stressed that this cooperation will support health reforms carried out in the country and implementation of mandatory health insurance system.

The Memorandum of Understanding envisages joint action with the Ministry of Health on the development of medical rules, guidelines and standard procedures to be used in healthcare facilities in 2020 within mandatory health insurance.

It is planned that the relevant specialists will be involved in the preparation of the documents.
