Temporary allowances of 1.5 million manats disbursed to individuals engaged in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic

In accordance with the pertinent order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the relevant decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) has disbursed over 1.3 million manats in temporary allowances to medical professionals actively engaged in combating the new type of coronavirus infection during the months of January to June 2023, proportionate to their working hours. Non-medical workers involved in the same effort received a total of 161,000 manats during the specified period.

The breakdown of temporary allowances distributed to both medical and non-medical workers for the months of January to June 2023 is detailed below:

It is important to highlight that the Agency continues to disburse temporary allowances for the months of May and June based on the lists provided by state health facilities.

Furthermore, as per Decision No. 255 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated August 1, 2023, the disbursement of temporary allowances to the salaries of medical workers engaged in the fight against the new type of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has been extended until October 2, 2023.
