The allowances applied to the salaries of certain medical workers have been increased

By the decision of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance, changes have been made to the "Regulations on remuneration of health workers of medical facilities supervised by the public legal entity the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB)."

The changes also include the increase of allowances for med-level medical personnel in addition to doctors. The monthly fixed incentive allowances for certain group of doctors and medical workers have been increased by 14-150%. The increase applies to doctors working as heads of Statistics and Pharmacy departments, doctors working as pharmaceutical sales representatives, medical statisticians, doctor-methodologists, and heads of medical departments (i.e., divisions, offices), except for doctor-dentists (Table 1).

For the first time, monthly fixed incentive allowances in the amount of 200 manat have been applied to the monthly salaries of medical workers working as tutors and occupational therapy instructors (Table 1).

In addition, fixed monthly incentive allowances in the amount of 200 manat have been applied to  the monthly salaries of medical specialists appointed as members of the "Commission for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis B and C viruses" organized by the Agency from the state health facilities supervized by TABIB (Table 1).

For doctors of the following specializations, the working-day limit to which the performance-based incentive allowance is applied has been increased for outpatient work:

• From 25 insured persons to 35 persons for physician and pediatrists

• From 20 to 30 persons for doctors specialized in obstetrics-gynecology and all surgical specializations

For the doctors who conduct ultrasound examination, the working-day limit to which the performance-based incentive allowance is applied has been increased from 25 insured persons to 30 persons.

The increase to the monthly fixed incentive allowances for senior nurses, senior midwives, senior paramedics, senior laboratory assistants, and matrons in the structural divisions of medical facilities has been increased from 15% to 50%. An increase at the rate of 15% is applied to the monthly salary of head nurses according to the Unified Tariff Table (Table 2).

The changes to the Regulations entered into effect on November 4, 2022.
