The Chairman of Executive Board of Agency met with Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan

On November 20, 2019 the Chairman of Executive Board of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance Zaur Aliyev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan Erkan Ozoral. During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation were discussed to strengthen and expand mutual relations in the field of mandatory health insurance between the two countries.
The Chairman of Executive Board of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance Zaur Aliyev said that when developing the model of mandatory health insurance in Azerbaijan, the experience of a number of countries, including the Republic of Türkiye was studied.
Z. Aliyev informed the ambassador about the preparation works carried out to apply mandatory health insurance throughout the country starting next year, positive results of mandatory health insurance implemented in the Mingachevir city, Yevlakh and Aghdash regions as a pilot project.
The Ambassador Erkan Ozoral stressed that in recent years he has seen gradual development in Azerbaijan adding that he closely follows the steps taken for introduction of mandatory health insurance. E.Ozoral emphasized that Türkiye stands ready to support brotherly country in this direction.
