The Chairman of the Board of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance visited Nizami Medical Center to become familiar with healthcare activities

On June 30, 2021, Zaur Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance was shown the healthcare activities of the newly built Nizami Medical Center, established as part of the United City Hospital No. 11. 

Nurmammad Yariyev, Director of the Nizami Medical Center informed the Chairman of the Board of the Agency about the measures taken at the health facility. He stated that the construction of the health facility was carried out in accordance with the "State Program on social and economic development of Baku and its settlements in 2011-2013 years": "The five-story health facility has 74 bed capacity, with the following departments: emergency medical care, polyclinic, laboratory, functional diagnostics, inpatient neurology and resuscitation departments, and all departments are equipped with modern medical equipment. The functional diagnostics department has a new generation of computerized tomography, radiography and fluorography devices. The intensive care unit will provide medical services to patients with strokes, and it is possible to conduct clinical and biochemical analyzes in the laboratory department of the medical facility”- he said.

According to the structural changes carried out for centralized management, the Nizami Medical Center now comprises of four medical facilities. These are United City Hospital No. 11, Children's Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 1, Maternity Hospital No. 7 and Azersutikinti Hospital. The effective organization and management of the activities of these health facilities will be carried out by the Nizami Medical Center.

Zaur Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of the Agency, spoke about the importance of providing citizens with timely and quality medical services in the health facility under the mandatory health insurance.

Mr. Aliyev was then shown around the health facility.
