The conference took place on the topic of "United Kingdom is your partner in healthcare”

The Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Azerbaijan organized conference on the topic of “United Kingdom is your partner in healthcare”.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland James Sharp, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rasim Ismayilov, Chairman of the Executive Board of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance Zaur Aliyev addressed the event.

Zaur Aliyev informed participants about the works carried out for implementation of mandatory health insurance in Azerbaijan. The Chairman of the Executive Board said that experience of Great Britain in management of healthcare services, establishment, and development of public-private partnership in health sector is particularly interesting for Agency.

The opening speeches were followed by presentations of UK embassy employees and representatives of British companies specified in laboratory diagnostics.

The presentations provided extensive information about the company's automated laboratory analyzers, chemical reagents, molecular diagnostics, and products required to ensure quality control of laboratory research.
