The interim report of the twinning project was presented

On September 14, a conference was held to discuss the interim report of the twinning project titled "Strengthening Mandatory Health Insurance Mechanisms in Azerbaijan (Phase 2)," which is funded by the European Union.

Zaur Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance, spoke about the project's purpose, which was launched in July 2022. He emphasized that this two-year project aims to enhance the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of services within the scope of mandatory health insurance. He also highlighted that the project involves studying and implementing best practices from European Union member countries in our nation's healthcare system.

Gintaras Kacevičius, the Project Manager and Chief Executive Officer of the State Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of Lithuania, and Aysel Ibayeva, the Head of the Agency's Legal Department, stressed the project's importance as partners in its implementation. They noted that the project plays a crucial role in improving the social welfare of citizens and healthcare in the country.

The event was attended by the heads of relevant departments within the Agency and the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions, as well as employees of the State Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of Lithuania and representatives from the European Union.

It is worth noting that this twinning project, funded by the European Union, is jointly implemented by the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance, representing the beneficiary country, and the State Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of Lithuania, a member state of the European Union.
