The joint statement of the Ministry of Health, State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance and TABIB

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of the Ministers, “Vaccination Certificate” of the persons who received the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine for more than 6 months will not be considered valid from February 15.

Persons employed in sectors where “Vaccination Certificate” is mandatory and persons over 18 years of age who use the activities of a number business and service sectors are recommended to get a booster dose 6 months after completing the second dose of vaccine. From tomorrow, persons over 18 years of age are required to have a valid proof of vaccination, immunity, or contraindications certificates to enter the following venues.

  1. Public catering facilities (cafe, restaurants etc.,)
  2. Hotels
  3. Large shopping malls
  4. Sport and health centers
  5. Weddings or other celebrations
  6. Higher educational institutions and colleges

The employees of state bodies, also the workers of the facilities in the business and service sectors (medical and pharmaceutical facilities, scientific and educational facilities) mentioned in the Annex of this Resolution are required to have a valid COVID-19 vaccination, immunity, or contraindication certificate.

It should be noted that those who receive the full two-dose course of any COVID-19 vaccines used in Azerbaijan are issued a "Vaccination Certificate". “Vaccination Certificate" is valid for 6 months.  After the expiration of this period, the validity of the "Vaccine Certificate" is extended indefinitely when receiving first in a two-dose series intended by vaccine manufacturer.
