The Korean Government donated medical equipment to our country

The Korean Government has donated medical equipment to our country to protect the health of vulnerable child population during the period after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Donated pieces of equipment include a defibrillator, anesthesia machines, ICU ventilators, nasal continuous positive airway pressure (NCPAP), baby incubator, infant warmer, phototherapy unit, neonatal oxygen flowmeter. The total cost of equipment is $300,000 (510,000 manats).

The defibrillator is intended to restore the heart function in cases of heartbeat disorder in patients at risk. The defibrillator can be also used for hemodynamic monitoring (ECG examination, measurement of saturation, blood pressure, body temperature, and vital indicators)

Two anesthesia machines with several ventilation modes intended for adults, children, and newborns are equipped with a 38-centimeter color display. Three phototherapy devices will be used to treat neonatal jaundice in newborns. Phototherapy devices are equipped with light-emitting diode (LED) lamps and a timer to track medical procedures.

In the five donated humidicribs, it is possible to control the ambient temperature and baby's body temperature and humidity. The devices are equipped with X-ray cassettes for X-ray examination of the newborns.

Six ICU ventilators are intended to provide patients with continuous oxygen in intensive therapy divisions. It is possible to select various ventilation modes on the devices equipped with 33-centimeter touchscreen displays. Intra-hospital transport mode allows transferring patients inside the medical facility without interrupting the ventilation and monitoring. When power is cut off, the internal power supply provides the device with 150 minutes of continuous operation.

It should be noted that medical equipment was delivered to the Republican Perinatal Center and the Clinical Children's Hospital No. 2 named after A. Garayev.
