The opening of the Azerbaijan International Medical Innovations exhibition  Medinex

On November 3, 2022, the Azerbaijan International Medical Innovations exhibition known as Medinex and the Azerbaijan International Beauty Industry exhibition Beauty Azerbaijan were launched at the Baku Expo Center.

Among those participating in the exhibition’s opening ceremoney were Teymur Musayev, Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ahliman Amiraslanov, Chairman of the Health Committee of the Parliament, Zaur Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance, Vugar Gurbanov, Executive Director of the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB), and Farid Mammadov, Director General of Caspian Event Organizers (CEO) company.

Teymur Musayev, the Minister of Health said in his speech that the development of health care in Azerbaijan is one of the priorities of state policy and is closely related with the organization of medical exhibitions in our country: "This exhibition is another positive event that is a continuation of the events held in our country for more than thirty years. From this point of view, as the Ministry of Health, we highly appreciate the organization of exhibitions that enable the introduction of innovative products to the medical community, allow experts to follow modern trends, and apply scientific and technical achievements,"— said the health minister in his speech.

Ahliman Amiraslanov, chairman of the Health Committee of the National Assembly, noted in his speech that such exhibitions provide endless opportunities: "This project is very important for both experienced and young specialists in the field of medicine, including residents and students of specialized educational institutions. Of course, the practical and scientific events to be held within the framework of the exhibition can play an important role in the development of young specialists and acquisition of new knowledge. I would like to emphasize the exhibition’s demonstration of modern information technologies and medical programs, which are an important component of the development of local medicine."

Zaur Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of the Agency, emphasized that one of the main reforms in the field of health care is the introduction of mandatory health insurance in the country. According to him, the goal of the Agency is to increase the accessibility and quality of medical services provided to the population: “The Medinex exhibition is one of the platforms that provides an opportunity to raise awareness in the country’s wider population about mandatory health insurance and contributes to the building of cooperation between state and private health facilities in the country. The exhibition will encourage the application of innovations based on modern practices in the field of medicine in private and state medical facilities. We will study with interest the innovations presented at the exhibition because they are important in terms of their application in our daily work in the future."

In his speech, Executive Director of TABIB Vugar Gurbanov gave general information about the main directions of health care development in the country, which involve protecting the health of the country's citizens, improving the material and technical base of the health care system, and applying innovations in the field of medicine. He said that the main goal of the Medinex exhibition is the wide presentation of new products and technologies in the field of medicine: "This exhibition is the largest event that brings together medical specialists in the Caspian region." V.Gurbanov expressed confidence that the exhibitions’ participants will gain great experience and acquire new knowledge in addition to building business cooperation.

Farid Mammadov, Chief Executive Officer of the CEO company, said that the Medinex exhibition is a new brand created by transforming the BIHE medical exhibition, which has been held for many years. It has an important role among the events held in the field of health care.

Medinex is a business platform that brings together healthcare professionals. Leading domestic and foreign manufacturers and distributors will present their new products and services at the exhibition to help improve the clinics in the country and increase the effectiveness of treatment.

The exhibition will bring together more than 90 companies from 12 countries of the world, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Slovenia, Türkiye, Japan, Algeria.

This year, Medinex 2022 is held with the active participation and support of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance and TABIB.

The organizer of the exhibitions is Caspian Event Organizers. The exhibitions will continue until November 5.
