The State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance has conducted training for journalists

On January 30, 2020, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance organized training for leading media representatives on the topic of “Increasing media representatives’ awareness of mandatory health insurance.” The main purposes of the training was to strengthen professional communication within media institutions and to raise the journalists’ awareness of the purpose, importance, and benefits of mandatory health insurance and health financing.

The directors of the Agency's departments Vugar Gurbanov, Aynura Ahmadova, heads of divisions Shukur Eyvazov, Yadigar Mahmudzade, and coordinators Sabina Guliyeva and Nasimi Nuriyev made speeches on the staged implementation of mandatory health insurance in the country, including insurance fees, benefit package, co-financing amounts, the application of salary increments for healthcare workers, the cooperation of medical facilities, and healthcare workers with the media.

Video materials demonstrated the staged implementation of mandatory health insurance in the country, the mandatory health insurance fee calculator, and heart surgery performed under mandatory health insurance. At the end, journalists' questions were answered by the Agency’s representatives. 

Participants of the training were awarded with certificates.
