The State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance has joined the tree planting initiative within the Green Marathon campaign

Today, one of the regular tree-planting campaigns was held within the framework of the Republican Green Marathon ("Green Marathon"), organized by the IDEA Public Association and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. Representatives of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance also took part in the event, which was held in the Khojasan settlement of the Binagadi district.

More than 400 olive trees and pine trees were planted in 1 hectare area, by employees of the above-mentioned government bodies, and volunteers from the IDEA Public Association. Mukhtar Babayev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources and Zaur Aliyev, Chairman of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance also took part in the tree-planting.

Speaking about the importance of the Green Marathon campaign, Zaur Aliyev stated, that one of the most important and urgent problems of modern times was to create an ecologically clean environment for a healthy lifestyle: “Such projects contribute to the protection of nature and create an ecologically safe and clean environment which is necessary for maintaining the health of the population.”

The main purpose of this series of environmental actions is to increase the green areas in the capital and the regions, to support the protection of the environment, and the enrichment of flora biodiversity as well as improving awareness about green area protection projects by promoting tree planting.

The partners of this project aim to plant about 1 million trees across the country during the spring and fall tree-planting seasons and call on everyone to support this useful initiative and unite for the green future of our nature.
