The State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance has launched e-service for passengers to take the COVID-19 test

Starting June 18, it is planned to resume domestic flights to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. In order to prevent coronavirus infections in the country, passengers of domestic flights of Azerbaijan Airlines Closed Joint Stock Company are required to take the COVID-19 test.

To support this initiative, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) has launched a new electronic service called "Online appointment for Passengers (COVID-19)." Through this e-service, ticket holders will be able to make an online appointment for the COVID-19 test.

Citizens should enter their ticket number in the window that opens in the subsection "Online appointment for passengers (COVID-19)" of the "E-services" section of the Agency’s official website and select the "Check ticket" button. After the ticket is approved, the citizen must select the "Make an appointment" box with the appropriate date and time to arrange the time of the test. In this case, the notification displayed on the screen will show the name and address of the health facility to which the citizen will apply, as well as the date and time of the test.

The citizen can change the time of the medical examination in the same way described above. In this case, the previous date will be deleted. Citizens should consider that they can only choose an appointment during the time interval provided in accordance with the date of the flight on the mandatory health insurance platform. Thus, it will not be possible to make an appointment 48 hours before the flight date (if strict quarantine days are in effect, the period of appointments can be changed). You must be tested for COVID-19 no later than 48 hours and no earlier than 96 hours before the flight.

A citizen applying to a health facility must present his/her ID card and flight ticket to the registrar. The COVID-19 test is free of charge.
