Training on “Quality Standards” was held for health staff

At the initiative of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance, "Quality Standards" training was organized for the medical staff of regions to be included in the system of mandatory health insurance at the initial stage. 23 officials who are in charge of quality control at central hospitals and diagnostic centers in Sheki, Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz, Shabran, Siyazan, Shamakhi, Ismayilli, Aghsu, Gobustan, Balaken, Zagatala, Gakh, Oguz, Gabala, Goychay, Ujar, Zardab, and Kurdamir, attended the training. The purpose of the training was to instruct the participants how to ensure the effectiveness of emergency care at medical facilities, provide the necessary services in a timely manner, reduce the risk of infection, and monitor hygienic rules at hospitals.

Medical staff also received extensive knowledge on improving the quality of medical services, ensuring patient identification, and regulating the admission and registration processes. During the training, Fatma Sonmezich, a quality control expert, made a presentation on "Quality Standards.” The expert provided the training participants with detailed information on strategic goals, as well as evaluation criteria regarding emergency medical care, infection control, information security, and 20 quality standards, which will be applied at medical facilities during the initial stage. At the end of the training, the participants exchanged their views on issues of interest and the expert answered questions from the medical staff.
