Zaur Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of the Agency got acquainted with the works carried out in the Lankaran District Central Hospital for the implementation of mandatory health insurance

Zaur Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) visited Lankaran District Central Hospital on January 12, 2020 to get acquainted with the work done for the implementation of mandatory health insurance.

Agabala Kalbiyev, Director of Lankaran District Central Hospital informed the Chairman of the Board of the Agency about the measures taken to introduce the mandatory health insurance system and improve the quality of medical services.

A.Kalbiyev said that 400-500 people apply to the medical facility every day. Necessary medical services are provided to all citizens in a timely manner within the framework of mandatory health insurance.

He said in order to improve the quality of emergency medical service under the control of the Agency, an ambulance service department was established on the basis of the hospital admission department, and a "triage" system was organized for grouping of patients according to severity of their condition. Also, work has been done to build information and communication technology infrastructure at the hospital: “The software and a new registration system have been installed at the hospital, the hospital has internet access and computer equipment. The staff of the admission and registration departments of the medical facility were informed on the operational instructions of the software. As a result, proper registration of medical services provided at the hospital was ensured”.

Z.Aliyev noted the importance of the measures taken and planned to implement for mandatory health insurance in the medical facility and stressed the importance of timely and quality completion of work: “Considering that two other medical facilities are operating under the conditions of quarantine in the southern region, Lankaran District Central Hospital has a great responsibility. It is important to provide the population with timely medical services within mandatory health insurance. The Chairman of the Board said the access of citizens to medical services and the provision of medical services by professional medical staff must be ensured: “Every medical staff must provide medical services to citizens in a responsible manner and with high quality. I would like to express my special gratitude to the medical staff for their support in the implementation of mandatory health insurance."

Afterwards, a meeting was held with the participation of the Chairman of the Board of the Agency, the representatives of the organization, Ramin Bayramli, the Chairman of the Board of the Administration of the Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB) and the directors of the central hospitals of Lankaran, Lerik, Masalli, Yardimli and Astara districts and Lankaran Medical-Diagnostic Center.
