250 citizen appeals were submitted to the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance in August

A total of 250 appeals were submitted to the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance in August 2019. Ninety-nine of them were letters of appeals, complaints and suggestions, and 151 were submitted over the phone. The majority of appeals were submitted by residents of Mingachevir City, Yevlakh, and Agdash Regions, where the mandatory health insurance has been carried out as a pilot project.

Sixty-two of the appeals submitted to the Agency were regarding examination, treatment, and surgical operations, 33 disability issues, 52 use of mandatory health insurance and insurance fees, 23 employment and labor issues, 26 outpatient provision of medicines, 16 issuance of referrals, 5 payments for healthcare services, and 35 other issues.

All the appeals were considered in the manner and within the term established in the legislation. Thus, 9.6% of them were solved, 73.6% were given appropriate explanations, 14% are pending, 0.4% left unconsidered, and 1.6% were sent to other relevant institutions for consideration.

According to the citizens receipt schedule, 18 citizens were received by the administration and officials of the Agency. The received citizens appealed for the issues mainly concerning the provision of medicines and employment, establishment of the degree of disability, examination and treatment, surgical operations, etc. Appeals resolved made up 16.7% and 83.3% were given appropriate explanation.
