During 2019, the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance received 3809 inquiries from citizens

During 2019, the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance received a total of 3809 inquiries. Of these, 1393 were applications, complaints, and suggestions sent by letter and 2416 were made by phone. Most of the applications were made by residents of the Mingachevir, Yevlakh, and Aghdash regions, where mandatory health insurance was implemented as a pilot project. 1055 of the inquiries received by the Agency covered problems with medical examination, treatment, and surgical procedures, 466 disability problems, 316 recruitment and employment problems, 201 concerned outpatient medication supply, 259 were about payments for medical services, and 181 sought referrals, 537 “other” inquiries. 794 of the telephone inquiries were made by the residents of other regions related to the introduction of mandatory health insurance in the country, mandatory health insurance fees, and legislation governing this area. Compared to 2018 (which had 96 applications), there is a 25-fold increase in the number of inquiries. Also, in 2019, 1931 inquiries were received on the Agency's social network sites. All inquiries were considered in the proper manner and within the timeframe established by the legislation.  According to the reception schedule, last year, the management and officials of the Agency received 283 citizens. The inquiries of these citizens were mainly related to the supply of medicines, payment of medical expenses, disability category determination, medical examinations and treatment, surgical operations, employment, and so on. Citizens' inquiries were responded in accordance with the legislative requirements and the necessary instructions were given to resolve these inquiries.

Last year, a special section was created on the Agency's official website (www.its.gov.az) to increase the opportunities for citizens to submit applications. The section contains a schedule of citizens' reception and legislative acts on citizens' applications. It also ensures the electronic submission of inquiries and registration for meeting with the relevant officials.
