Employees of the Agency will be participating in training organized by the School of Project Management

10 employees of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) will be participating in a training program organized by the School of Project Management (SPM). The training program, held with the financial support of bp Azerbaijan, and organized by the Baku Higher Oil School, will last for 6 months.

Giving a speech at the opening ceremony of the training program, Zaur Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of the Agency thanked pb Azerbaijan for the support provided to educational and social projects in Azerbaijan. “I would like to express my gratitude to bp Azerbaijan for giving our employees the opportunity to participate in this important training. I believe that the SPM program will contribute to the development of the Agency's specialists and will have a positive impact on the operation of the mandatory health insurance system in the country. Our cooperation with bp Azerbaijan and the Baku Higher Oil School is based on the principle of mutual trust. I am confident that this cooperation will be reinforced and successfully continued in the future," Aliyev said.

Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli, Vice President of BP for Communications and External Relations in the Middle East and Caspian Region, stated that it was a pleasure for them to fund the participation of 10 employees of the Agency in the Project Management School. We believe that our support, aimed at the capacity building of employees, will enable them to manage their projects more efficiently and professionally, and the knowledge and skills they will acquire in the training will help them to make a significant contribution to the successful operation of the organization they represent”.

Elmar Gasimov, Rector of the Baku Higher Oil School congratulated the participants of the School of Project Management on the start of their studies. “Many of the graduates of the School of Project Management, which is implemented on a regular basis at BHOS, have made significant progress in their careers after graduating from the program. Graduates who complete the 6-month course on all modules will be able to receive the title of DCPM (Duke Certified Project Manager), which is similar to a PMP or PhD.

It should be noted that the participants are trained on 8 project management modules on the basis of the master’s program of Duke University, USA. These modules include the following courses: “Managing projects”, “Scheduling and Cost Control”, “Risk Management”, “Agile&Lean”, Project Leadership, Management and Communications, “Contract Management”, “Preparation for the Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam”, and “Negotiation Skills for Project Managers”.

Successful graduates of the Project Management School will receive certificates from Duke University in the United States.
