In 2020, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance received 16,174 inquiries from citizens

The inquiries were made in the form of statements, complaints, and proposals by letter and telegram. Most of the applications were made by residents of the cities Baku and Sumgayit, and the Sheki, Guba, and Lankaran districts.

9,127 applications received by the Agency were related to medical examination, treatment, and surgical operations, 3,469 to disability issues, 1,378 to employment and labor relations, 315 to supply of medication and medical devices, 277 to COVID-19, eight to referrals, and 1,599 to other issues.

All inquiries were considered in the manner and within the timeframe established by the legislation.

According to the schedule, 2,443 citizens were accepted by the Agency's management and officials last year. Their inquiries were mainly related to the problems of medication, payment of medical expenses, disability category determination, medical examination and treatment, surgical operations, employment, and more. Citizens' inquiries were responded to in accordance with the requirements of the legislation, and the necessary instructions were given to resolve those problems.

It should be stated that a special section – Section for Citizens – is included on the Agency's official website to improve citizens' access to applications. The section contains a schedule of citizens' reception, and legislative acts on citizens' inquiries, as well as procedures for electronic application and registration for being received by the relevant officials.
