Media and NGO representatives were informed about mandatory health insurance

On December 21, 2022, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) held a training session for representatives of the media and non-governmental organizations on the topic "Raising awareness of mandatory health insurance."

The main purpose of the training was to increase the awareness of civil society and media representatives concerning the working mechanisms of the mandatory health insurance system. This was ultimately meant to expand and improve the opportunities for cooperation with them.

Aynura Ahmadova, head of the Marketing and Public Relations Department of the Agency, who gave a presentation at the event, stated that non-governmental organizations and media play important roles in educating the population on mandatory health insurance. For this reason, it is necessary to provide comprehensive information about the regulations of the mandatory health insurance system to representatives from the media and those in civil society who organize educational events in this field.

In the presentation, the participants received information about the procedures for using the mandatory health insurance system, the amount of insurance premiums, medical services included in the Benefit Package, the procedure for issuing referrals, and other issues.

During the question-and-answer session, representatives of the Agency's medical examination department, Tarlan Pashayev and Arzu Ibrahimova, answered the questions of the participants.

At the end, the participants participated in a written survey aimed at measuring their levels of awareness about the mandatory health insurance system.
