Presentation of identity card is required for registration of citizens at hospitals

Nationwide introduction of mandatory health insurance begins on January 1, 2020 in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On a number of measures to ensure implementation of mandatory health insurance”.
To this end, currently work is underway for the development of information and technology infrastructure at healthcare facilities. Thus, the relevant software program has been developed for electronification of healthcare activities and registration desks have been installed in a number of regional hospitals.
Presentation of identity card at registration desks is mandatory for visiting patients. Therefore, we kindly ask all citizens to keep their ID cards with them while going to hospitals.
The software system will allow online registration of patients at hospitals, identify their insurance status as well as contain information about the departments visited by patients, doctors who treated the patients, assigned examination and treatment (outpatient and inpatient). The software solution will also make it possible to find out information about diagnosis and lab results online.
