State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance provided 130 services at single coordination centers in 2021

From August 23rd to December 31st, 2021, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) received 115 citizens at single coordination centers in the country. During this period, they were provided with 130 services in total. Of these services, 73 were related to disability status, 36 to medical services, 19 to mandatory health insurance and the Benefit Package, and 2 to COVID-19 infections and vaccinations.

Today the Agency, which is one of the 25 institutions represented at single coordination centers, provides services to citizens in 3 areas.

The first category of services is related to the receipt of inquiries related to health services by the medical facilities subordinated to the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB). When a citizen applies, the relevant medical facility is being contacted, the applicant’s request is forwarded to the appropriate doctor, and if there is any difficulty, appropriate measures are taken to resolve the issue, or the citizen is referred to that medical facility. At the same time, questions about the Benefit Package are answered in detail, and the rules on use of the mandatory health insurance system are explained.

The second category of services is related to immunoprophylaxis, i.e., replying to inquiries about COVID-19 infections, providing the necessary information about vaccinations and the National Vaccination Calendar.

The last category covers the provision of information from the electronic register of medical certificates. When a citizen is not satisfied with the results of the examination information of which has been entered in the "Disability" subsystem by the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency of the Ministry (in the case where such rejection is due to a lack of documents, insufficient treatment or related to the medical facility in general), the citizen may apply to employees of the Agency in the single coordination centers. The request is forwarded to the Medical Planning Department of the Agency, the DOST Services Department of the DOST Agency or the relevant medical facility. The cause of the problem is investigated, and measures are taken to resolve it. The specialists of the Agency provide the necessary assistance to those who are waiting for a response on their disability status or apply for it.

It should be noted that the single coordination centers started to operate on August 23 last year, in the centers of the Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Security (DOST Agency) under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population (Ministry).

According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 25th, 2021, the single coordination centers were established to provide the urgent and efficient services to family members of martyrs, war-wounded servicemen and persons with disabilities from a single platform.
