The "1542" Call Center of the Agency received 134,259 inquiries during the first 8 months of the current year

During January-August of 2021, the 1542 Call Center of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) received a total of 134,259 calls (inquiries). The call center received 36,208 calls on the coronavirus epidemic, 35,308 on mandatory health insurance and other issues, 2,124 regarding psychological support, 6,860 on outpatient support, and 33,724 on COVID-19 test results and serological tests and 20,035 on vaccinations.

Most of the inquiries received on the coronavirus epidemic were related to suspected coronavirus cases (14,820), the period of self-isolation (9,471) and issues regarding the medical certificates required to travel abroad (1,952). 

The majority of the calls received in relation to mandatory health insurance and other issues, were on examination and treatment (5,172), disability issues (5,139), supply of medicines and devices (4,468).

The inquiries received by the psychological support line are grouped as follows:

• Psychological support for war victims and military men - 264 inquiries

• Psychological support for the public and medical staff - 255 inquiries

• Psychological disorders (Psychopathology) - 71 inquiries

• Psychological support for COVID-19 patients - 30 inquiries

The majority of calls to the support line for outpatient services were related to medical examinations and treatment (3,428). 

All inquiries received by the call center were promptly answered, problems requiring investigation were referred to the relevant structural units, and callers were informed about the results of the investigation.

It should be noted that the Call Center, launched by the Agency in March 2020, provides its services on six lines. The call center line for coronavirus pandemic (1542-0) operates 24/7; the line for mandatory health insurance and other questions (1542-1) operates on weekdays from 09:00 to 18:00; the psychological support line (1542-2), the support line for outpatient services (1542-3), COVID-19 test results and serological test line (1542-4) and vaccination line (1542-5) operate from 08:00 to 22:00 on weekdays, and from 09:00 to 21:00 on weekends. It should be noted that the vaccination line was launched in early 2021.
