The Korean government has donated COVID-19 walk-through booths to our country

To support the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the Korean government has donated three COVID-19 walk-through testing booths to Azerbaijan.

On December 3, 2020, Nigar Bayramova, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency), Kim Tong Op, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan and Kumok Park, Country Director of the Representative Office of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Azerbaijan attended the acceptance ceremony of humanitarian aid at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport. 

Nigar Bayramova thanked the Korean government: "This donation demonstrates the support of the Korean government to friendly countries in various circumstances, in particular in the fight against the pandemic. The walk-through booths will allow health workers to be exposed to less risk."

In turn, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan Kim Tong Op said that the Korean government is always ready to support the government of Azerbaijan in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. According to him, the booths will help to minimize the contact between the patient and the medical worker taking the test, to maintain the social distance, to reduce the need for personal protective equipment and to eliminate the loss of time. The compact and portable testing booths will be installed at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
Earlier the Korean government delivered 350,000 KF94 protective masks to Azerbaijan to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
