The State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance discussed the results of its nine-month activities

The State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance held a meeting on the results of its’ activities in the 9 months of 2019. The meeting was presided over by the Chairman of Executive Board of the Agency Zaur Aliyev. Statistics on the activities of health care facilities operating as part of mandatory health insurance in the city of Mingachevir, Yevlakh and Aghdash districts, breakdown of citizen appeals by topic and status of review, as well as preparation process for introduction of mandatory health insurance were discussed at the meeting. 
It should be noted that the number of patient visits to pilot medical facilities in the first nine months of current year totaled 430926. Out of this number issues related with outpatient visits accounted for 271066 (62.9%), inpatient visits — 16713 (3.9%), laboratory services — 102340 (23.7%), first aid and emergency medical care — 40776 (9.5%).
The number of requests for receiving vitally important expensive health services equaled 31. In total citizens received 1711331 medical services in above mentioned healthcare facilities. 7428 surgical operations were performed within benefit package. 
During the reporting period Agency received 2379 appeals from citizens which were considered in accordance with requirements of the legislation.
As a whole, management and officials of the Agency received 193 citizens, 18 of them by management, 175 — by officials.  
During this period Agency received 716 communications from citizens via its social media pages. The appeals were instantly reviewed or sent to other relevant structural subdivisions for expeditious consideration. 
Over a nine-month period 175 information requests from media were addressed to the Agency. Response to all requests have been provided in a timely manner.
The meeting was concluded with proposals and recommendations to improve the operation of Agency, structural subdivisions and health care facilities placed under its authority, and to increase patient satisfaction. At the end of the meeting instructions were issued and decisions were made for organization of activities in the corresponding directions.
