The State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance has received 13,939 inquiries from citizens during the first 7 months of the current year

During the first 7 months of 2021, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) received a total of 13,939 inquiries from citizens. 13,919 of the inquiries included applications, complaints and proposals and were sent by mail, 20 of the inquiries were sent by telegram. 1,660 inquiries were submitted by citizens, mainly residents of Baku city, Sheki, Barda, Masalli and Lankaran regions. 12,279 inquiries were sent to the Agency for consideration by relevant government agencies.

Of the received inquiries, 6,937 were related to examination and treatment, 3,981 to disability issues, 1,326 to employment and labor relations, 543 to COVID-19, 468 to the provision of medicines and medical supplies, and 684 to other issues. All inquiries were considered in the manner, and within the period, established in the legislation.

In addition, the Agency's social media pages received 14,725 inquiries in the first seven months of this year. Topics of interest to citizens on social media included the recruitment rules in the Agency and medical facilities, the amount of mandatory health insurance premiums by the categories of population, medical services included in the Benefit Package, how to apply to a family doctor, obtaining immunity and vaccination certificates, etc.

During this period, 2,252 citizens were received. The inquiries of these citizens were mainly related to the provision of medicines, compensation for medical expenses, disability categorization, examination and treatment, surgeries, employment, issuing of referrals, etc. Citizens' inquiries were answered in accordance with the requirements of the legislation and the necessary instructions were given to address them. It should be noted that the reception of citizens was held in accordance with the rules and requirements of the special quarantine regime currently applied in the country.
