The State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance provides services to citizens via the single coordination centers

From August 23rd to October 31st, 2021, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) provided 51 services to 44 citizens via the single coordination centers within the DOST centers in Baku. Of these services, 30 were related to disability status, 13 to medical services, 6 to mandatory health insurance and the Service Package, and 2 to COVID-19 infections and vaccinations.

It should be noted that the single coordination centers have been operating in the centers of the Sustainable and Operational Social Security Agency (DOST Agency) under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population (Ministry) since August 23rd this year.

According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 25th, 2021, the single coordination centers were established to provide the urgent and efficient services of public institutions to family members of martyrs, war-wounded servicemen and persons with disabilities. Currently, the Agency, which is one of the 21 institutions of the single coordination centers, provides services to these categories of citizens in 3 areas.

The first category of services is related to the receipt of inquiries related to health services by the medical facilities under the control of the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB). When a citizen applies, he / she is contacted by the relevant medical facility, the request is forwarded to the appropriate doctor, and if there is a problem, appropriate measures are taken to resolve the issue, or the citizen is referred to that medical facility. At the same time, citizens' questions about the Service Package are answered in detail, and the rules regarding use of the mandatory health insurance system are explained.

The second category of services is related to immunoprophylaxis, i.e., replying to inquiries about COVID-19 infections, providing the necessary information about vaccinations and the National Vaccination Calendar.

The last category covers the provision of information from the electronic register of medical certificates. When a citizen is not satisfied with the results of the examination entered in the "Disability" subsystem by the State Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency of the Ministry (in the case where such rejection is due to a lack of documents, insufficient treatment or related to the medical facility in general), the citizen may apply to employees of the agency in the single coordination centers. The citizen's request is forwarded to the Medical Planning Department of the Agency, the DOST Services Department of the DOST Agency or the relevant medical facility. The cause of the problem is investigated and measures are taken to resolve it. The specialists of the Agency provide the necessary assistance to those who are waiting for a response on their disability status or apply for it on their behalf.

It should be noted that the single coordination centers are currently located in Baku DOST Centers No 1, 2, 3 and 4, as well as in the Absheron DOST Center. In these centers, the employees of the Agency provide services to citizens. It is possible to contact the single coordination centers from 09:00 to 18:00 on weekdays.
