Training held on organization and management of Medical Advisory Commissions of healthcare facilities in the western region

The State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) held a training on "Organization and management of the work of the Medical Advisory Commission in healthcare facilities" at the Ganja United City Hospital on January 13-15, 2022.

The training was attended by the directors of Ganja United City Hospital, district central hospitals of Mingachevir, Yevlakh and Shamkir cities, Samukh, Goranboy, Goygol, Dashkasan, Kalbajar, Khojaly, Agdash, Naftalan, Barda, Tartar, Agstafa, Gazakh, Tovuz and Gadabay regions, chairmen of Medical Advisory Commissions in above mentioned hospitals, heads of polyclinic sections and Family Health Centers, directors of Ganja, Mingachevir and Shamkir branches of the Agency.

The participants were given detailed information about legal documents referred to in the organization of the work of the Medical Advisory Commission, “Guidlines of providing referrals to medical and social expertise for disability evaluation”, “Procedure for providing, record keeping and completing certificates of incapacity for work”, “Regulations on the criteria for determination of disability and health conditions.”

Speakers made presentations on the topics “Analysis of the registration book on conclusions of the Medical Advisory Commission ", “Analysis of registration book of certificates of incapacity for work”, “Analysis of referrals (TQS № 088) issued for Medical and Social Expert Commission” and answered the questions of participants.

The speakers were Hikmat Ibrahimli, the head of Health Planning Department of the Agency, the employees of the division on Control over Disability Issues, Azer Zeynalov, director of Pirallahi Medical Center, Elnara Huseynova,  Chief Physician of City Polyclinic № 13, Tahira Afandiyeva, Deputy Chief Physician for Administrative Affairs of City Policlinic № 20, Aydin Ahmadov, Chief Physician of City Policlinic № 22, Elshad Aliyev, physician-neuropathologist of the United City Hospital № 9, Mammad Khasiyev, the head of the Disability Policy Division of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.

It should be noted that similar trainings aimed at improving the work of Medical Advisory Commissions at healthcare facilities in the country were held last month for employees of healthcare facilities in the northern region. Currently 143 healthcare facilities subordinated to TABIB, are entitled to provide referrals for medical and social expertise. The list of these healthcare providers can be found here.
