More than 4.3 million manats in temporary allowances and bonuses have been paid between March and April 2022 to those involved in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic

In accordance with the relevant order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the relevant decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency) paid temporary allowances amounting to more than 3.8 million manats to the medical workers and a half-million manats to non-medical staff involved in the fight against the new type of coronavirus infection based on proportion to their working time/hours during the months of March and April of 2022.

According to the relevant decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, medical workers of private health facilities involved in the fight against the new type of coronavirus infection were paid a temporary allowance in the amount of 1,466.40 manats in proportion to their working time/hours for the months of March and April of the current year. All deductions from salaries payable by the employee are withheld from the final amount.

Volunteers were paid a bonus of 500 manats for March and April (250 manats per person per month). Salary deductions are not calculated from this amount.

The amount of temporary allowances and bonuses paid to medical and non-medical staff as well as to volunteers for the mentioned months is as follows:

It should be noted that, according to the lists provided by public and private medical facilities, the Agency continues to pay temporary allowances for March and April.

According to Decision No. 229 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated June 16, 2022, the payment of temporary allowances on the salaries of medical workers involved in the fight against the new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection has been extended until July 1, 2022.
