Three branches of the Agency have started to operate

In order to ensure effective coordination between the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance and medical facilities operating throughout the regions, three branches of the Agency have begun operation. As of December 2019, Mingachevir, Ganja, and Guba branches operate on administrative territorial units determined by the Agency's Management Board. Thus, the Mingachevir branch of the Agency covers the Mingachevir, Yevlakh, Agdash, Barda, and Tartar regions; the Ganja branch covers Ganja and Naftalan, Samukh, Goranboy, Goygol, and Dashkesen regions; and the Guba branch covers the Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz, Shabran, and Siyazan districts. The heads of the branches have already been appointed. Yashar Gojayev is the head of the Mingachevir branch and Azer Demirov and Isa Mammadov are the heads of the Ganja and Guba branches, respectively.

In addition to representing the Agency in the regions, the branches will organize the work of receiving citizens, considering and responding to their inquiries in accordance with the relevant legislation.
Branches will take measures to protect the health of the population and carry out educational activities to promote compulsory health insurance. They will also support the Agency in evaluating healthcare registers submitted by medical facilities on health services provided under mandatory health insurance, as well as in analyzing of information. In addition, the branches will take appropriate steps to address the technical problems that may arise in the management of the software used by medical facilities. It should be noted that during 2020, eight more branches of the Agency will be launched. The branches will operate in Shamakhi, Goychay, Sheki, Shirvan, Shamkir, Aghjabadi, Jalilabad, and Lankaran. In total, there will be 11 branches of the Agency.
