Representatives of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance and TABIB visited Israel

The delegation, led by Zaur Aliyev, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance and Vugar Gurbanov, the Executive Director of the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB), visited Israel on March 7-10.

The visitors became familiar with the conditions and activities of various departments of the special health care facilities of the State of Israel: Magen David Adom National Operations Center (The national support society of the State of Israel), Sheba Hospital (medical institution specializing in medical innovations) and Tel Aviv Sourasky (Ichilov) Medical Center.

Chaim Rafalowski, Coordinator of emergency management and European Union projects of Magen David Adom National Operations Center, Yair Itzhar, Head of the International Relations Department of Sheba Hospital, and Itzhak Shapira, Deputy General Director of Tel Aviv Sourasky (Ichilov) Medical Center, provided extensive information about the activities of the medical centers to the visitors.

Also, during the visit, the delegation of Azerbaijan held a number of meetings with Shafi Mendelovich, the Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health of Israel, Asher Salmon, the Head of the International Relations Department of the Ministry, Assaf Parker, the Head of the Digital Health Department, and Eyal Jacobson, the Head of the Clalit Muslim Health Service. 

During the visit, views were exchanged on Israel's health insurance system, financing of the health care system, the role of the insurance system in the management of medical facilities, recommended strategies for the expansion and optimization of medical services, the digitization of the health care system, and the functionality and improvement of emergency and preventive medical care services. At the same time, discussions were held on the development of human capital in the relevant fields in the health facilities of Azerbaijan.
