Zaur Aliyev held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The Chairman of the Executive Board of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance Zaur Aliyev held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan Bahrom Ashrafkhanov on April 7.

Zaur Aliyev informed the ambassador about implementation of mandatory health insurance in Azerbaijan. It was noted that application of a new financing mechanism aims to bring healthcare services in line with modern requirements to improve the quality of medical services provided to the population.

Possibilities of applying Azerbaijani experience gained in the field of digitalization of mandatory health insurance and healthcare system in improving mandatory health insurance in Uzbekistan was also discussed at the meeting.

There was also an exchange of views on the development of existing cooperation for the exchange of experience between surgeons of the two countries in the field of endoscopic, laparoscopic and thoracoscopic operations.
