Meeting held between Agency, TABIB and World Bank

On January 31, 2022, a working meeting was held with the participation of senior officials of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance (Agency), the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB) and the World Bank.

The meeting was attended by Zaur Aliyev, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Agency, Vugar Qurbanov, Acting Chairman of the Executive Board of TABIB, heads of relevant structural divisions at Agency. The World Bank was represented by Saida Bagirli, Senior Operations Officer and experts in relevant spheres.

The meeting was held as part of the technical assistance on “Development of E-Health Strategy and Claims Management System” and discussed the primary results of the assessment of medical claims management and related areas, the development of Azerbaijan's National Health Information Strategy for 2022-2026.

The project, implemented with the support of Japan’s Economic and Social Development Programme, will include visits by World Bank experts to selected healthcare facilities to evaluate their technical condition and infrastructure capability.

At the end of the two-year project, it is planned to submit a road map on introduction of international experience in given areas to the Ministry of Health, the Agency and TABIB.
